Service Description

Our Tomorrow's Leaders Youth Group is a 4 week program. This program is for youth 8-12 years old. They will have hands on experience with our wonderful team of horses. Every Thursday will consist of learning different focuses to develop life skills such as confidence building, leadership skills, team building and team work, setting healthy boundaries, relationships and expectations, creativity and so much more! We have limited space for the group to give everyone equal opportunities and more one-on-one coaching to gain the most from each day. Week 1 - Basic Horsemanship Skills Learn about horse care, safety, grooming and building your relationship with the horses. Week 2 - Responsibility Building on the previous week we will learn about the horses needs, what daily requirements they have, what is Sulis? Week 3 - Problem Solving & Team Building We will focus on leadership skills, what does it take to be a leader, emotional regulation techniques and thinking outside the box. Working in teams we will focus on good communication skills, riding activities and positive self talk. Week 4 - Show and Tell This is our final week to show off the skills that have been learned. Participants get to teach the parents how to safely greet a horse, what the safety rules are, how to groom, how to lead, and how to be calm with the horses by using emotional regulation techniques that have been learned. Total cost for 4 week program is $225+ HST per participant. Every new participant will also receive a free gift for joining!
